You don't need an account to begin. Your good things are stored by the service under a guest session. This browser keeps the access information and local recovery drafts. Sign in when you're ready to use your tree across devices; the app confirms when your guest tree has finished linking to your account.

Write a good thing and use the plant button to save it. Enter starts a new line. Each saved good thing grows your tree. Appreciation from someone else appears as a flower or fruit; returning warmth is optional.

A name saved with Keep privately is a private mention. Send appreciation requests delivery to the address you provide. Depending on their preferences and availability, appreciation may arrive in the app or by email. A saved entry does not confirm email delivery. A gift link shows the appreciation to anyone who has that link, while your other entries stay private.

Use the personal unsubscribe link at the bottom of an email to change email preferences. For instructions, visit email choices.

Open Settings and choose Delete account. Read the confirmation before continuing. The app confirms when deletion finishes; it cannot be undone.

• Tree looks empty after signing in? You may be signed in with a different email than the one that held your earlier entries. Email us with the approximate date and time of those entries and we'll help.
• Magic link didn't arrive? Wait a minute, then check your spam folder. If it's still missing, try signing in again or use Google instead.
• Gift email didn't reach the recipient? Saving does not confirm delivery. The recipient may receive appreciation in the app, and email preferences may prevent an email. If they expected an email, they can check spam or ask for help. Avoid repeatedly sending the same appreciation.
